Project Description
The Peanut production and processing project into vegetable oil is part of a context where the demand for quality vegetable oils is constantly increasing in the Far North Region, more precisely in the city of Maroua, Cameroon. Peanut, being a crop widely cultivated in many cities and villages in the Far North, represents an accessible and profitable raw material for the production of oil. This project aims to enhance this resource by setting up an integrated production chain ranging from the production of Peanut to the processing into vegetable oil. The objective of this project is to increase local production of quality vegetable oil from Peanut, in order to meet market demand and contribute to local economic development. Thus, this project will also:
*Increase the areas cultivated with peanuts.
*Set up a unit for processing peanuts into vegetable oil.
*Improve the income of peanut producers through integration into the value chain.
*Finally, to promote local employment through the creation of positions in production and processing.
